The Memorare

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

The Memorare is one powerful prayer to the Blessed Virgin Mary that many Catholics fail to take advantage of.

We don’t have to only say this prayer when we are praying the Rosary, this is a complete prayer that can be said at any time especially when we are in need.

The words of this prayer say ‘never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided’ this is to say that this is a powerful prayer of protection and can be used when we feel threatened, when we are afraid or not sure what next to do in any situation.

It is a prayer so dear to the Immaculate Heart of Our Blessed Mother Mary.

It is a prayer that we can say when we need Our Blessed Mother Mary’s intercession and I promise you that whenever you use this prayer in faith, you will never; I repeat you will never be left unaided.

Say this prayer as many times calling on Our Lady’s intercession and I pray the good LORD, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, keep and bless you all the days of your life in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.
