In Nigeria, the western part of Africa a very famous gospel singer was unfortunate a victim of domestic violence and lost her life in the process. Osinachi was known for her powerful spirit lifting songs that brought tears and have touched so many lives, including the one currently playing in this video. Osinachi, alongside so many have lived in silence to the terror they face everyday.
Domestic violence has been a slow killing poison that has killed many and birthed broken children. Let us remember to stretch out our hands to those suffering let us remember them in prayer and to encourage them as not to live in silence and in fear of being radical or judged, not to be ashamed In saving their lives and their children’s. James 1:19-20 – So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
Let us say a prayer against domestic violence and for the soul of Osinachi and the soul of victims of domestic violence
Almighty God, there are so many people who live in darkness as a result of abusive relationships. Help them, Father, to recognize that abuse can take many forms, not just physical, but mental, verbal and emotional as well. Enlighten them and provide them with wisdom to see when things are not right within their relationships. Where frustration and confusion exist, and even when they feel powerless or fearful, Lord, grant them Your peace. Uphold them with Your mighty and victorious right hand. And for the souls of all those lost, Father we pray that they find rest in your glorious bosom. in Jesus name we pray.
